Qualified Charitable Distribution

Did you know that you can also donate to FATC through a “Qualified Charitable Distribution” from your IRA?

The advantage of a QCD is that the money donated from your IRA is not taxed and the amount does not add to your income for that year.

When can you do a QCD?

At age 70.5 years you may do a QCD

At age 73 you are required to take an RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) from your IRA investments and a QCD will fulfill  a portion of your required RMD for that year.

What are the steps for taking a QCD?

Contact Custodian: Request the specific QCD or distribution form from your IRA administrator.

Direct the Payment: Instruct the custodian to make the check payable directly to FATC.

Below is the information you will need to provide to your IRA custodian.
