Albany Tennis Club Protocols for Summer 2020
The following rules are intended to foster a safe environment for outdoor tennis
Do not play if you are: exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus or
have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
PREPARING TO PLAY:
All players are expected to wear a mask covering mouth and nose when entering the ATC
No tennis bags on the tables or benches, either:
Each person should bring new can or well-aired balls for play
Bring filled water bottles, water fountain will be turned off
WHEN AT THE ATC:
All players are expected maintain social distancing (6 feet apart) or wear a mask while at the ATC, except while playing tennis.
Between sets & game switch overs, reapply hand sanitizer and maintain social distance. Sanitizer pump stations will be setup near courts.
Minimize ball contact with your hands: new balls for serving and use your racquet/foot to pick up balls. Optionally wear glove on non-dominant hand.
AFTER PLAYING
Wash your hands thoroughly or use a hand sanitizer after coming off the court.
If you are uncomfortable with another member’s behavior, please let Larry or an attendant know.
ATC RESPONSIBILITIES
Wipe down of surfaces (ex: front gate, court sweepers)
Sanitizer pump stations setup near courts
