CAPITAL FUND ANNUAL REPORT
November 2009
This was our Capital Fund’s third year. Many of you have generously contributed to it in this time and we want you to know its status.
The purpose of the fund is to accumulate a pot of money to be available when major expenses occur. Two recent examples were the replacement of some of our windscreens, a $900.00 cost, and the repair and overhaul of our mechanized roller, a $1,234.44 cost. We also would like to replace the clay surfaces on our courts which have become contaminated with dirt and other foreign substances over the years. This causes the clay to be less cohesive and to break up. The drainage off the courts is insufficient and needs work, also.

This is the time of the year we ask you to make a donation to the Capital Fund. Names of especially generous donors appear on the plaque located in our bulletin board at the courts. Categories are: Quarterfinalist-$100.00, Semifinalist-$250.00, Finalist-$500.00 and Champion-$1,000.00. But, of course, we appreciate a donation of any amount.
Also, as you know, our annual meeting/Board of Directors election/party is scheduled for Sunday, November 15. Net proceeds from that event will also go to the Fund. We hope to see you there.
